An
increase
in
the
amount
of
greenhouse
gases
(GHGs)
atmosphere
causes
global
warming,
and
>14%
all
GHG
emissions
come
from
agricultural
activities.
The
three
primary
atmospheric
GHGs
are
CO2,
CH4,
N2O;
therefore,
regulating
agroecosystems
is
important
for
climate
management.
Straw
return
an
environmentally
friendly
practice
that
positively
affects
crop
production
soil
fertility.
However,
its
effects
on
long-term
remain
controversial.
To
examine
impact
straw
Chinese
maize
fields,
281
data
pairs
45
publications
were
assessed
using
a
meta-analysis.
findings
demonstrated
substantial
increases
CO2
N2O
140
40%,
respectively.
Methane
increased
by
3%
after
return,
maximum
effect
value
was
2.66
at
nitrogen
rates<150
kg/hm2.
CH4
with
decrease
organic
content,
changed
negative
to
positive
concentrations

g/kg.
