The relationship between coronary heart disease (CHD) and complex urban built environments remains a subject of considerable uncertainty. development predictive models via machine learning to explore the underlying mechanisms this association, as well formulation intervention policies planning strategies, has emerged pivotal area research. A cross-sectional dataset hospital admissions for CHD over course year from in Dalian City, China, was assembled matched with multi-source environment data residential addresses. This study evaluates five models, including decision tree (DT), random forest (RF), eXtreme gradient boosting (XGBoost), multi-layer perceptron (MLP), support vector (SVM), compares them multiple linear regression models. results show that DT, RF, XGBoost exhibit superior capabilities, all R2 values exceeding 0.70. DT model performed best, an value 0.818, best performance based on metrics such MAE MSE. Additionally, using explainable AI techniques, reveals contribution different factors identifies significant influencing cold regions, ranked age, Digital Elevation Model (DEM), house price (HP), sky view factor (SVF), interaction factors. Stratified analyses by age gender variations groups: those under 60 years old, Road Density is most influential factor; 61–70 group, top 71–80 81 building height leading males, GDP females, factor. explores feasibility predicting risk regions provides comprehensive methodology workflow cardiovascular refined neighborhood-level factors, offering scientific construction sustainable healthy cities.

Metabolic syndrome (MS) comprises a set of metabolic irregularities that elevate the risk cardiovascular conditions and diabetes. The essential characteristic components are: high blood pressure triglyceride levels, low HDL cholesterol hyperglycemia obesity (particularly central adiposity). MS represents major public health challenge current intervention methods have limitations in effectiveness long-term adherence. Intermittent hypoxia-hyperoxia therapy (IHHT) is an innovative method involves controlled alternating exposure to hypoxia hyperoxia. This technique mimics effects altitude training stimulates body's adaptive mechanisms, contributing improved mitochondrial function, increased oxidative capacity regulation processes. According literature, IHHT causes significant changes parameters studied patients with MS. Body composition plays important role maintaining health. It affected by multiple factors: environmental conditions, genetics lifestyle choices. assessment for evaluating nutritional status, identifying risks associated such as monitoring progress during dietary interventions. A randomized trial was carried out 40 participants diagnosed MS, who were split into two groups. group, consisting 20 participants, underwent intermittent (IHHT), while control also received placebo therapy. study aimed evaluate whether could positively affect body composition. found no differences between groups regarding analyzed parameters. However, both showed progress, highlighting relevance medical rehabilitation, even without notable impact IHHT. results suggest rehabilitation can benefit additional contribution highlights improvements be influenced factors discipline active participation programs, emphasizing importance constant involvement process key factor achieving desired outcomes. lack clear improving attributed relatively short duration intervention, small size groups, or influence effect on patients' perceptions.

Greenspace is projected to decrease the burden of infectious illnesses. Here, we examine association between greenspace (measured using normalized difference vegetation index and percentages greenspaces) prevalence three illnesses: acute respiratory infection (ARI), fever, diarrhea among children under 5 years old, obtained from Demographic Health Surveys in 49 low- middle-income countries. Among 699,904 countries, associated with decreased odds having ARI, old. These associations are stronger poorer families those living rural areas. The air temperature, drought levels, particulate matter ≤ 2.5 μm mediate 0.20%–18.45% greenspaces Our findings indicate that greener areas may have lower illnesses, underlying pathways include lowering drought, pollutants levels.

Abstract We systematically summarizes and evaluates the relationship between green blue spaces human health through an umbrella review of epidemiological meta- analyses up to year 2024. Green have been recognized for their ecological services, including air purification biodiversity protection, which contribute enhancement life quality well-being. The highlights significant advancements in research methodologies emergence new evidence linking with reduced risks various issues, such as type 2 diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular diseases, improved mental health. study follows PRISMA guidelines includes meta-analyses from PubMed, Embase, Cochrane databases, focusing on methodological improvements. Inclusion criteria encompass studies populations, exposure spaces, outcomes mortality, disease risk, physiological indicators. Data extraction assessment methods are conducted using GRADE system AMSTAR tool. finds that space is associated all-cause incidence diabetes metabolic syndrome, low birth weight, Blue also show positive associations outcomes, obesity rates psychological However, regarding specific like cancer, asthma, allergic rhinitis remains heterogeneous unclear. underscores need future address limitations, incorporate indicators, explore complex mechanisms human-environment interactions. It concludes by emphasizing importance urban planning public strategies improve residents’ life.

High-quality built environments significantly enhance residents’ health, urban livability, and sustainability. However, the lack of precise pre-evaluation designs user perceptions during design phase often results in suboptimal improvements. This study proposes a method for evaluating optimizing schemes based on multidimensional physical environment simulations virtual perception, using university campus as case study. Initially, we establish simulation models sound, wind, thermal, light analyze current state perception environment. Subsequently, integrate evaluation to identify three priority intervention areas develop corresponding strategies. Finally, reapply further optimize designs. The show that optimized receive positive feedback evaluations. leverages combined use VR technology create an immersive with measurable experiences, providing new approach guiding sustainability environments.
