In the current state of soil degradation, organic fertilizers are crucial for sustainable agricultural production in Indonesia. As Indonesia is a major production, this review that mainly comes from locally published papers reported They have been used natural farming practices long before was established. Organic come various forms, including compost (crop residues, manure, vermicompost, and maggot compost), green biofertilizers, biochar. primarily as amendments to enhance plant health. can be combined with inorganic or applied alone. For effective farming, must managed conjunction other boost crop productivity economic value. The tradition upheld by local communities. Indonesian government continues provide assistance support promote use fertilizers, enhancing sustainability.

Heavy metal (HMs) toxicity has severely impacted wheat production and is considered an emerging threat to human health due bioaccumulation. The application of organic inorganic amendments proven effective in mitigating HM’s phytotoxicity by limiting their mobility soil plants. A pot experiment was conducted evaluate the efficiency biochar (BC), bentonite (BN), rock phosphate (RP), both individually combination, alleviating lead (Pb) enhancing growth, physiological attributes. present investigation revealed that BC, BN, RP, combined mineral (MBAs) at 1.5% level significantly enhanced growth along with reducing DTPA-extractable Pb 30.0–49.8% uptake roots 15.7–37.5% shoots 34.5–48.5%. Antioxidant enzymatic activities were improved, stress indicators reduced under stress, including hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) 50.7 81.0%, malondialdehyde (MDA) levels 16.0 74.9%, proline content 34.5 64.0%, respectively. effectiveness treatments described descending order viz. MBA-1 > MBA-3 MBA-2 BC RP BN stress. In conclusion, integration biochar, bentonite, a promising strategy for sustainable cleaner cereal crop heavy conditions.

Balancing the need for increased food production and addressing environmental pollution associated with use of inorganic fertilizers require sustainable farming practices. These practices include eco-friendly soil enhancers such as biochar agricultural purposes. In line this, study tends to compare effect biochars different quality, organic manure on growth rate cultivated beans plant. To assess quality plant growth, seeds were planted in a combination 150 g soil, biochars, dried poultry ratio 10:0.5:0.5. Three other control groups established consisting mixed 15 each samples only, 165 only. The results showed that grown sample A (prepared at 350 °C 40 min) chicken manure, grew faster height than plants manure. Also, performed better by 35% compared alone alone. Hence, produced min can act an excellent improver when used solely or

Invasive alien plant species (IAPS) threaten ecosystem integrity worldwide. IAPS eradication is expensive, and their biomass considered waste. Producing biochar from biomasses could turn waste into a resource. At the same time, this material be used to remediate polluted soils. Also, using widespread native weeds, such as Urtica dioica (U), an additional amendment further improve soil remediation. In phytoremediation experiment, we applied produced two IAPS' biomass, i.e. Ailanthus altissima (Mill.) (BA) Solidago gigantea Aiton (BS), at different rates (2 % 5 w/w) together with L. powder (U) in Arsenic (As) Lead (Pb)-contaminated soil, Phaseolus vulgaris indicator species. We measured amendment's effects on pore water (SPW) properties, fine root development, enzymatic activities. When BS was added alone, when BA combined U SPW's pH electrical conductivity (EC) increased [Pb] diminished, which augmented growth reduced Pb uptake. Combining types soil's activities, length, specific length. Finally, both As mobility SPW, leading higher uptake roots, although without translocation aboveground organs. Our findings contribute developing cost-effective environmentally sustainable practices for managing soil. Simultaneously, they tackle problem of IAPS, can future provide guidelines policymakers.
