The aim of this study was to evaluate the technical and economic impact using commercial phytogenic feed supplements dried Greek Oregano leaves as additives on dairy sheep farms. Fifteen farms in region Thessaly were divided into intervention control farms, techno-economic data collected before after supplementation through structured interviews cost analysis. results showed that administration certain oregano ewes resulted improved animal health, higher milk yield, lower production costs, which created a positive trend financial farm. Further research is needed accurately determine ideal stage animals for interventions, amount administered, selection appropriate plant species, would lead better management

Multiple lines of research have led to the hypothesis that antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) are an important component innate immune response, playing a vital role in defense against wide range infectious diseases. In this review, we explore occurrence and availability proteins across various species, highlighting their natural abundance evolutionary significance. The design AMPs has been driven by identification key structural functional features, which essential for optimizing activity reducing toxicity host cells. We discuss approaches, including rational design, high-throughput screening, computational modeling, employed develop novel with enhanced efficacy. A particular focus is given characterization peptide fragments derived from naturally occurring proteins, offer promising avenue discovery new AMPs. incorporation artificial intelligence (AI) machine learning (ML) tools into AMP further accelerated identification, optimization, application these peptides. This review also discusses current status therapeutic potential AMPs, emphasizing addressing growing issue antibiotic resistance. conclusion highlights importance continued innovation development fully harness as next-generation agents.
