The potential health risks posed by the coexistence of nanoplastics (NPs) and triclosan (TCS) have garnered significant attention. However, effects underlying mechanisms NPs TCS on key functional proteins at molecular level remain poorly understood. This study reports effect polystyrene (PSNPs) binding to human serum albumin (HSA) using multispectral methods simulation systems. experimental results show that significantly inhibits HSA esterase activity, with exacerbating inhibition in presence PSNPs, which is attributed alteration conformation microenvironment amino acid residues induced PSNPs. Today, plastic pollution is one of the biggest threats to environment and public health. Here we tested polystyrene, which commonly used in food packaging, not well recycled, makes up at least 30% landfills. order biological effects carcinogenic 100 µm polystyrene nanoparticles (PSNPs), raised Oregon [R] wild-type flies on contaminated food. After prolonged exposure, fluorescent PSNPs accumulated gut fat bodies. Furthermore, PSNP-fed showed considerable alterations weight, developmental time, lifespan, as a compromised ability recover from starvation. Additionally, noticed decrease motor activity DNAlig4 mutants fed with PSNPs, are known be susceptible dietary stressors. qPCR molecular investigation larval intestines revealed markedly elevated expression genes drice p53, suggesting response cell damage.
