The water demand is increasing across all sectors, driven by intensive agriculture, overexploitation and urbanization, tourism, industrial development. This trend set to intensify in the context of climate variability, with an anticipated rise frequency intensity prolonged dry periods. As a result, conventional resources, including surface groundwater, are facing significant pressure cannot meet growing needs. In contrast, unconventional (UWR) or non-conventional such as treated wastewater, salinized water, rainwater harvesting emerging valuable strategic resources will play pivotal role new era.
