The National Park of Hainan Tropical Rainforest (NPHTR) plays the crucial role an ecological barrier for Island. Rapid climate change has significantly impacted species distribution patterns, necessitating a comprehensive understanding of dominant tree dynamics for effective forest resource management and utilization. The Camellia subgenus Camellia, widely distributed taxon in subtropical China, represents an ecologically economically important group woody plants valued both oil production ornamental purposes. In this study, we employed the BIOMOD2 ensemble modeling framework to investigate spatial patterns range under projected scenarios. Our analysis incorporated 1455 georeferenced occurrence records from 15 species, following filtering duplicate points, along with seven bioclimatic variables selected after highly correlated factors were eliminated. model, which integrates six single models, demonstrated robust predictive performance, mean true skil l statistic (TSS) area curve (AUC) values exceeding 0.8. results identified precipitation coldest quarter (Bio19) temperature seasonality (Bio4) as primary determinants influencing patterns. center richness was located Nanling Mountains eastern Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. projections indicate overall expansion suitable habitats future conditions, notable scenario-dependent variations: hotspots are predicted increase by 8.86% SSP126 scenario but experience 2.53% reduction SSP585 scenario. Biodiversity is fundamental to ecosystem stability and sustainability, yet its global decline underscores the urgent need for effective education foster awareness conservation efforts. This study evaluates biodiversity knowledge of higher students at ISEC Lisboa examines influence academic content on their understanding. A mixed-methods approach was applied, combining a structured survey with curriculum analysis. The survey, distributed among 149 across different programs, assessed perception, awareness, biodiversity. Statistical analysis, including Chi-square tests, conducted identify significant differences between areas. findings reveal that only 4.87% curricular units incorporate biodiversity-related content, primarily associate species richness rather than complexity or genetic diversity. Despite expressing strong agreement as importance biodiversity, most participants demonstrated limited species’ status. No in were found disciplines, suggesting within remains insufficient. These results highlight more integrative interdisciplinary institutions. Keteleeria evelyniana Mast. , which is widespread in southwestern China, valuable for studying under different future climate scenarios to assess potential distribution shifts response warming. Understanding these changes can provide theoretical support species conservation, rational utilization, ecological restoration, and management of K. habitats.
