This study explores the enhanced photocatalytic performance of ZnO nanorods (ZnO-R) for degrading carbaryl pesticide (CB) in wastewater. For comparison, commercial (ZnO-C) was used to evaluate differences decomposition CB between ZnO-R and ZnO-C. The results regarding material properties demonstrated that enhances removal due its unique rod shape, which extends light absorption improves electron-hole separation. rates from aqueous solution using ZnO-C were 98.2% 87.3%, respectively. Methyl Violet (MV) removal from aqueous solutions is studied using an Algerian Bentonite sample as a low-cost adsorbent. SEM-EDX, X-ray diffraction, and chemical composition characterized the adsorbent material. Frequent use of pesticides results in the release large quantities their residues environment, raising various concerns for humans and ecosystem. This work introduces a simple cost-effective method removal atrazine pesticide residue (APR) from agricultural wastewater using Cu doped-ZnO photocatalyst (Cu-ZnO). The modification ZnO with significantly improved its optical photoelectrochemical properties, band gap narrowing 3.3 to 2.64 eV. photodegradation APR was 93.6 91.7% aqueous solution wastewater, respectively. After being reused four times, Cu-ZnO did not display notable drop degradation performance, rates 93.6, 91.2, 86.8, 83.1% during first, second, third, fourth recycles, Also, after six cycles <2%, suggesting excellent stability modified without any issues related secondary pollution. Under natural sunlight, 83.9% removed, confirming benefit reducing treatment costs by utilizing renewable energy. In addition, mechanism proposed based on outcomes radical quenching TOC tests.

This Study focuses on the preparation of sustainable and efficient Chitosan catalyst for removal three organic pollutants, 17β-Estradiol (E2), 17α-ethynyl estradiol (EE2) triclosan (TCS) from water. The prepared nanocomposites were characterized by different techniques which confirmed presence key components Chitosan, Carica Papaya seed Kaolinite. optical characterization proved nanocomposite is photoactive with a band gap 1.81 eV 1.77 Chitosan/kaolinite biochar (CS/KBC) biochar/GO (CS/KBC/GO) respectively, confirming ability to be active in visible light region spectrum. degradation experiment using CS/KBC/GO was observed better 100% 5 mg/L E2 EE2 over 60 min 97.8% 120 10 TCS at optimum conditions (pH 3 E2, pH 7). It that superoxide radical played major role contaminants. Furthermore, four cycles without any decrease performance, rules out question deactivation proving sustainability catalyst. toxicity test shows water safe as it does not harm cerio daphnia silvestrii organism.; efficiently removed micropollutants real-life waste samples performance very good slight wastewater due complex matrix sample competes site.

The increase in the world population and intensification of agricultural practices have resulted release several contaminants into environment, especially pesticides heavy metals. This article reviews recent advances using adsorbent catalytic materials for environmental decontamination. Different materials, including clays, carbonaceous, metallic, polymeric, hybrid are evaluated their effectiveness pollutant removal. Adsorption is an effective technique due to its low cost, operational simplicity, possibility regeneration. Catalytic processes, those metallic nanoparticles, offer high efficiency degrading complex pesticides.
