Microplastics (MPs) are emerging environmental pollutants that pose a significant threat to wildlife within forest ecosystems. However, the quantity and types of MPs in habitats remain unclear. This study is first assess distribution Amur tiger habitat northeast China. Our results showed were detected soil, water, atmosphere, forage plants, ungulate top predator feces ecosystem, respectively. The average diameter all was 44.99 ± 34.80μm. predominant polymers found samples polyamide, polyvinyl chloride, polyurethane. Certain sample shared similar MP polymer type distributions, indicating potential links their sources transfer pathways. Consequently, these findings provide some new insights on pollution problem prompt us consider how control manage conservation.

Human uptake of microplastic particles (MPs) is causing increasing health concerns, and there mounting pressure to evaluate the associated risks. While MPs can be ingested, breathed in, or drank a very direct entrance channel available through ingress into bloodstream. Intravenous infusion usually proceeds from plastic bottles. Many are made polypropylene (PP), filtering applied limit particle contamination. In this study, we examined MPs' content filtrates using combination surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy scanning electron microscopy. We find that number PP significant (∼7500 particles/L). The MP sizes range 1 62 μm, with median ∼8.5 μm. About 90% ranged between 20 μm in size, ∼60% 10 then discuss potential such injected consequences their presence highlight organs for deposition, possible clinical effects. Our quantitative data important help toxicity risks accurately balance those versus benefits intravenous injections.

The problem of microplastics (MPs) pollution has caused many health risks to residents Chinese cities. In this study, nine kinds MPs or microrubbers (MRs) from dust fall (DF) in Xi'an, a megacity northwestern China, were measured by pyrolysis-gas chromatography-mass spectroscopy, namely, polyethylene, polypropylene, nylon 88, polybutylene, polytetrafluorethylene, polyisoprene, polyvinyl chloride, natural rubber, and synthesis rubber. Here, 51.20% extracted the original DF (samples denoted DF-O). After subtracting procedure, their residual (DF-S samples) divided into two parts. Our results indicated that DF-O samples exhibited higher cytotoxicity, inflammatory, oxidative stress levels than DF-S did. suppressed autophagy decreasing expression microtubule-associated protein light chain 3 (LC3B), p-phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (p-PI3K), phosphorylated AKT (p-Akt), p-mammalian target rapamycin (p-mTOR) while increasing level p62. Meanwhile, induced apoptosis through Bax/Bcl-2 Cleaved Caspase-3/Caspase-3 Raw264.7 cells. These trends could be reversed removing half DF-O. Therefore, inhibited via activating PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway, ratios. Here we provide comprehensive perspective studies atmospheric status mechanisms inhalation toxicity for risk assessment DF.
