The skin, as the largest external organ, is exposed to many environmental factors, such sunlight and pollution, well some synthetic ingredients in cosmetic products used excess by most people of all ages throughout their lives. Under influence these factors with age, amount key building protein, collagen type I, decreases, which leads a deterioration appearance condition skin. Currently, when average life expectancy increases, esthetic aspect maintaining healthy skin are particularly important. In pharmaceutical industries, attempts have long been made prevent aging application containing natural compounds, mainly due high antioxidant activity. This review collects polyphenols, stimulating protective effects on I human fibroblasts, along description mechanisms action. Some them tested mice rats, clinical trials, cases, results very promising. Nevertheless, there still need for an intensification studies order determine appropriate dosage, safety, effectiveness.

There is a lack of specific regulations in Saudi Arabia governing the use potentially hazardous compounds, such as parabens, skincare products (SCPs). This study analyzed 111 feminine SCPs used for presence selected parabens [namely methylparaben (MeP), ethylparaben (EtP), and propylparaben (PrP)] to assess their health risks. These were highly prevalent examined SCPs; MeP was most common, followed by PrP. However, we noted that ≈14% paraben-free. Nine contained MeP, EtP, PrP concentrations exceeding European Union Regulation 1223/2009 limits. The estimated daily paraben intake via dermal exposure calculated. combined maximum (EDI) EtP remarkably lower than acceptable (ADI) limit set Food Safety Authority (EFSA); however, levels 23% exceeded recommended ADI limit. Although average hazard index (HI) below safety threshold, 26 had HI > 1, indicating potential risk primarily due margin (MOE) values calculated these did not reach benchmark EFSA. In conclusion, tested pose relatively low risk; content many raises concerns, especially considering cumulative multiple parabens. underscores need monitor regulate ensure consumer safety.
