Establishing a suitable and useful soil quality (SQ) assessment tool is imperative for the accurate evaluation of effect environmental changes on SQ. This study constructed four indexes (SQIs) based different minimum data sets weighted additive models to evaluate influence grassland degradation SQ in northwest Guizhou, China. A total 19 properties, including six physical chemical seven microbial were measured at depths 0–20 cm construct SQIs. Results showed that 18 indicators selected as potential set. Organic matter distribution patterns and soil aggregate stability (SAS) are critical factors for comprehending the environmental evolution of reservoirs their surroundings. However, it remains unclear how SAS aggregate-related N C respond to external (e.g., land use, water level fluctuation) in newly formed reservoirs' buffer strips.
