ABSTRACT N ‐Arylated heterocyclic molecules are extensively found as key components in numerous pharmaceutical and agrochemical compounds. Herein, inexpensive 1,10‐phenanthroline‐assisted copper‐catalyzed sustainable greener methodology has been developed for ‐arylation of indoles pyrrole under commercial base additive‐free conditions. Waste biomass–derived water extract banana peel ash (WEB) used safe reaction medium instead hazardous solvents, hence, the current green protocol achieved an environmentally benign profile. Reaction with aryl iodides electronically diverse iodides/aryl bromides presence CuI catalyst, 1,10‐phenanthroline ligand, WEB a solvent at 100°C furnished ‐arylated product within 12 h. up to 93% yields while resulted 54% yield desired product. The utilization waste biomass derivative organic transformation is step this protocol, which consistence goals chemistry.

<i>&#946;</i>-(<i>N</i>-arylamino)acrylates are building blocks of great industrial interest as they allow the obtention a variety heterocyclic substances, such quinoline and pyridone derivatives. Therefore, development new methodologies for synthesis these substances is still interest. In this work, fourteen were synthesized in multigram scale from reaction mono- di-substituted anilines with diethyl ethoxymethylenemalonate by sonochemistry (US) results compared to those obtained conventional heating. The use US brought many benefits syntheses, including faster reactions increased yields. crystal structure 2-(((2-chloro-5-nitrophenyl)amino)methylene)malonate also reported.

Abstract The use of bioresource‐derived wastes to valuable organic reactions is a new and fascinating trend in the current‐day chemistry which aims at decrease/elimination depleting resources based chemicals. This article discusses sustainable protocol for synthesis C=C bonds via Knoevenagel condensation reaction α‐cyano esters with aldehydes using water extract Annona squamosa fruit shell ash (WEASF) as catalyst. These have been conducted room temperature (RT) aqueous media products are purified by recrystallization. WEASF acts biorenewable base process avoids solvents column‐based purifications products. bio‐derived also showed its high reusability current alternative existing methods making polysubstituted olefins.
