The corrosion inhibition performance of the walnut fruit (Juglans regia L.) septum alcoholic extract for Fe B500B steel bars in a mixed acidic solution (H2SO4/HCl) is reported. Weight loss, potentiodynamic polarization, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy measurements were performed at 298 to 318 K, with addition various concentrations. Results showed maximum efficiency 86.99 % 300 mg L-1 added. acts as mixed-type inhibitor, predominantly affect­ing anodic side, following Flory-Huggins adsorption isotherm. Corrosion significantly threatens the structural integrity of steel-based constructions like buildings and industrial units. Traditional corrosion inhibitors, such as chromates, are associated with environmental health risks. This has led to a growing interest in environmentally sustainable alternatives, plant extracts emerging promising candidates. These widely available, sustainable, eco-friendly. review aims explore potential inhibitors for various types steel. After examining current scientific literature, over 40 have been identified that exhibit inhibition properties. thoroughly analyzed understand their effectiveness preventing corrosion. The elucidates mechanisms by which these interact metal surfaces form protective layers, effectively hindering process. In this review, we focus on challenges utilizing including optimal extract concentration temperature considerations.

The corrosion of metals is a major problem in many industrial sectors. To develop sustainable and naturally friendly alternatives to classical inhibitors, the use plant extracts has attracted increasing interest. Plant contain variety bioactive substances, such as polyphenols, which have corrosion-inhibitory properties. are biodegradable pose minimal risk human health ecosystems.
