The generation of solid waste, more specifically municipal waste (MSW), has been considered one the major global environmental problems since urbanization started. Among Scandinavian states, Denmark and Norway have placed in top positions (1 2 respectively) for high MSW production. Sweden a steady plan management/treatments by practising material recycle, biological treatment energy recovery. aim this review is to compare between rest Scandinavia. A systematic literature was performed screening academic public articles assess factors better management based on technological solutions. Key results include importance new tariffs & legislations, producer responsibilities electronic products, municipality involvement, distribution responsibilities, infrastructure developments Sweden. application modern technologies also Societal participation (willingness, awareness concern) plays significant role management. packaging system, interactive visualization (gamification) sorting, awareness, development could significantly improve sorting process conversion from linear economy towards circular economy.

An unsustainable rate of resource production and consumption is evident in urban environments. The absence innovative approaches conjunction with the exponential urbanization expansion global population will inevitably result substantial environmental consequences. There are two emerging alternatives: circular economy (CE) metabolism (UM). integration these principles into novel methodology casts doubt on linear model contemporary economic systems, which includes extraction, production, utilization, disposal. In development a distinctive framework known as metabolism, current study has illustrated application principles. We design this to motivate planners decision-makers investigate, develop, supervise ecologically sustainable cities. Scholars from variety academic disciplines, intrigued by intricacies planning, design, administration, can foster interdisciplinary collaboration (CUM) region. To address research question, we implemented bibliometric analysis, involved examination 627 pertinent papers, utilizing R (R 3.6.0+) statistical programming language. results emphasize fundamental characteristics significance CUM management refuse. addition, findings underscore importance creating that incorporates political ecology, CUM, sustainability, dimension waste metabolism. ABSTRACT In this study, we explore the impacts of waste recycling ratio as a proxy for circular economies on sectoral productivity in European Union between 2000 and 2021. We present model that contextualizes industry's transition to green economies, namely, model, which adapt neoclassical models by considering energy intensity development technologies. After estimating results using FGLS PCSE, understand higher availability secondary raw materials contributes functions different industries, but effect is limited exponential increases these reduce productivity. To ensure efficiency policies aimed at consolidating propose policy recommendations leverage scale scope improve industries while contributing cycle their own externalities.

The beer industry stands as a significant player in the global economy, and it is increasingly renowned not only for its diverse flavours, but also impact on environment. Amidst popularity, sector faces mounting pressure to address environmental concerns, particularly related packaging. As world embracing sustainability guiding principle, industry's approach packaging has come under scrutiny ecological footprint. This study aims shed some light footprint of production by applying life cycle assessment, comparing different types calculated product consumed PET kegs, glass bottles aluminium cans, performed three sensitivity analyses load factors transport, waste transport distance recycled content. results identified draught kegs most sustainable solution consumption, with around 90 % lower than other However, analysis showed that biggest found cultivation, use phases, account contribution 60 %, 27 11 respectively. this highlighted importance factor distribution phase, recyclability secondary raw materials an original valuable contribution, offering comprehensive understanding beverage industry. Its insights can guide breweries, policymakers, consumers towards choices, fostering positive change within sector. It questions circular solutions recycling reuse options. revealed green supply chain management key transition economy decarbonization process.
