The
deterioration
of
the
urban
environment
is
a
problem
which
has
captured
attention
governmental
departments
and
researchers,
who
are
committed
to
improving
from
perspective
optimizing
morphology.
Although
many
researchers
have
applied
computational
fluid
dynamics
(CFD)
plug-ins
study
problems
ventilation
pollutant
accumulation,
studies
on
reliability
simulation
accuracy
verification
CFD
currently
scarce.
Therefore,
we
used
three
based
different
architectural
design
platforms
evaluate
compare
their
operation
difficulty,
accuracy,
efficiency
through
analysis
results
ventilation.
This
complements
validation
plug-in
simulations
guides
planners
architects
in
selection
application
plug-ins.
show
that
generally
underestimates
wind
speed
at
pedestrian
level
prediction
poor
wake
area
obstacles,
especially
with
GH_Wind
plug-in.
Under
0°
inflow
direction,
Butterfly
were
most
consistent
experimental
values.
When
direction
increased
22.5°
45°,
Autodesk
showed
best
accuracy.
Overall,
achieves
balance
between
airflow
simulation.

Abstract
Pressing
problems
in
urban
ventilation
and
thermal
comfort
affecting
pedestrians
related
to
current
development
densification
are
increasingly
dealt
with
from
the
perspective
of
climate
change
adaptation
strategies.
In
recent
research
efforts,
prime
objective
is
accurately
assess
pedestrian-level
wind
(PLW)
environments
by
using
different
simulation
approaches
that
have
reasonable
computational
time.
This
review
aims
provide
insights
into
most
PLW
studies
use
both
established
data-driven
during
last
5
years,
covering
215
articles
fluid
dynamics
(CFD)
typical
models.
We
observe
steady-state
Reynolds-averaged
Navier-Stokes
(SRANS)
simulations
still
dominantly
used
approach.
Due
model
uncertainty
embedded
SRANS
approach,
a
sensitivity
test
recommended
as
remedial
measure
for
SRANS.
Another
noted
thriving
trend
conducting
unsteady-state
high-efficiency
methods.
Specifically,
massively
parallelized
large-eddy
(LES)
hybrid
LES-RANS
offer
high
efficiency
accuracy.
While
models
general
believed
be
more
computationally
efficient
predicting
dynamics,
they
fact
call
substantial
resources
efforts
if
time
development,
training
validation
taken
account.
The
synthesized
understanding
these
modeling
expected
facilitate
choosing
proper
environment
studies,
ultimately
serving
planning
building
designs
respect
pedestrian
assessment.
