This study examines the distribution patterns of rural settlements from a new perspective ethnic inter-embeddedness. The Shannon-Wiener Index (SWI) and Moran's I methods are employed to identify spatial characteristics in typical multi-ethnic gathering area. results as follows: Firstly, different groups exhibit significant heterogeneity remarkable differences ethnicity region. Each group has its core settlement areas geography. Secondly, represent clustering gradient variations distribution. All aggregation except for Hui. Global Han, Yi, Tibetan, Mongolian, Qiang, Hui 0.771, 0.726, 0.646, 0.225, 0.123, 0.037, respectively. Thirdly, SWI classified into five categories: very high, medium, low, accounting 23.53%, 19.60%, 15.69%, 17.65%, Finally, find negative correlation between equilibrium minority population degree inter-embeddedness settlements. provides implications promoting integration connection, well optimizing areas.

Investigating urban vitality and comprehending the influence mechanisms of built environment is essential for achieving sustainable growth improving quality life residents. Current research has rarely addressed nonlinear relationships synergistic effects between at neighborhood scale. This oversight may overlook key neighborhoods overestimate or underestimate different factors on vitality. Using Guangzhou’s central area as a case study, this develops comprehensive assessment system that includes economic, social, cultural, ecological dimensions, utilizing multi-source data such POI, Dazhong Dianping, Baidu heatmap, NDVI. Additionally, XGBoost-SHAP model applied to uncover impacts The findings reveal that: (1) diminishes progressively from center periphery; (2) proximity Zhujiang New Town most critical factor (with contribution 0.039), while functional diversity public facility accessibility are also significant contributions ranging 0.033 0.009); (3) exert influences vitality, notably with threshold effect subway station (feature value 0.1); (4) there notable among dimensions. For example, close below 0.12) high POI density above 0.04) experience positive effects. These can inform targeted policy recommendations precise planning.

Abstract Exploring the pattern of block vitality within cities and its influencing factors is an important topic in urban research, which has great significance promoting high-quality development. However, existing research paid little attention to spatial difference characteristics daytime night differences their factors. Using area Kunming, China, as a case study, this study explores patterns at intra-city scale analyses main using regression models. The obtains following findings: (1) Kunming’s district (the Dist. KM) higher than vitality. First Ring Area highest vitality, whereas Second (2) Block KM presents polycentric structure. (3) There are obvious between night, with work accessibility, functional mixing, daily consumption floor ratio, average building age, having different directions influence on (4) Daytime relies activities, while residential activities. results provide scientific basis for land use layout, facility construction, higher-quality planning management, thus sustainable
