ABSTRACT Understanding the health status and drivers of ecosystems in karst desertification areas is crucial for sustainable development. Using “Pressure‐State‐Response (PSR)” framework, this study assessed ecosystem levels Guizhou Province, a typical region, years 2000, 2005, 2010, 2015, 2020, identified main affecting using Spatiotemporal Geographically Weighted Regression (GTWR) model. The results show: (1) During period, level Province was predominantly rated as excellent or relatively excellent, showing positive development trend with an overall upward trajectory. value increased from 0.534 2000 to 0.622 2020. Areas better were mainly distributed southern Zunyi, eastern Guiyang, northern Qiannan Prefecture. (2) Spatially, Ecosystem Health Index (EHI) at county showed significant spatial correlation 99.9% confidence level, “H‐H clustering” part Zunyi. (3) Different factors have varying impacts on area. Precipitation, relative humidity, nighttime lights driving effect while temperature, vegetation coverage, land use intensity are dominant negative health. findings can provide theoretical basis formulating ecological protection policies regions.
