Abstract The coarse spatial resolution of the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) dataset has limited its application in local water resource management accounting. Despite efforts to improve GRACE resolution, achieving high downscaled grids that correspond hydrological behaviour patterns is still limited. To overcome this issue, we propose a novel statistical downscaling approach GRACE-terrestrial storage changes (ΔTWS) using precipitation, evapotranspiration (ET), runoff data from Australian Water Outlook. These budget components drive column much global land area. Here, original 1.0° × 0.05° over large hydro-geologic basin northern Australia (the Cambrian Limestone Aquifer—CLA), capturing sub- grid heterogeneity ΔTWS region. results are validated 12 in-situ groundwater monitoring stations estimates CLA’s April 2002 June 2017. change time (ds/dt) estimated model was weakly correlated (r = 0.34) with ΔTWS. weak relationship attributed possible uncertainties inherent ET datasets used budget, particularly during summer months. Our proposed methodology provides an opportunity freshwater reporting enhances feasibility for other strengthen local-scale applications.

The high spatial complexities of soil temperature modelling over semiarid land have challenged the calibration—predication framework, whose composited objective lacks comprehensive evaluation. Therefore, this study, based on Noah surface model and its full parameter table, utilizes two global searching algorithms eight kinds with dimensional—varied metrics, combined dense site moisture observations central Tibet, to explore different metrics’ performances heterogeneity uncertainty regional parameters, calibration efficiency effectiveness, as well spatiotemporal in forecasting. Results shown that diversity has greater influence framework than themselves. Besides being significantly better other enhanced multi metric (EMO) Kling-Gupta (EKGE) their own advantages disadvantages simulations parameters respectively. Especially, EMO four metrics correlated coefficient, root mean square error, absolute Nash–Sutcliffe efficiency, relatively balanced performance forecasting when compared EKGE. In general, benefited from could greatly reduce land.

This study examines trends in precipitation (PRE), maximum temperature (TMAX), minimum (TMIN), and potential evapotranspiration (PET) using the Modified Mann-Kendall test Sen’s slope estimator between 1901 2022 arid lands of Central Asia, West Asia North Africa. The results reveal complex spatial temporal climate change patterns across area. Annual PRE shows a slight negative trend (Z = −0.881, p 0.378), with significant decreases from 1951–2000 −3.329, 0.001). temperatures exhibit strong warming (TMIN: Z 9.591, < 0.001; TMAX: 8.405, PET increased significantly 6.041, 0.001), acceleration recent decades. Spatially, decreased by 10% annual values, while 10–15% many areas. Temperature increases 2–3 °C were observed, TMAX rising 36–39 to 39–42 some MENA regions. Climate data plays a crucial role in water resources management, which is becoming an increasingly relevant asset all types of hydrological analysis not only for climate change studies but various horizon forecasting. Though the ever-improving accuracy models' spatial and temporal resolution has surged validity their outputs, products global regional models need to be corrected reliably used local purposes. Here, we propose comprehensive statistical univariate multivariate, as well machine learning methods bias correction, are compared on different scales, ranging from hourly time steps monthly aggregations, environment complex Alpine orthography, using ERA5-Land reanalysis data. The results reveal trends performance correction precipitation temperature across resolutions.

Bu çalışmada Antalya ilinin 2000-2022 yılları arasındaki ortalama yüzey sıcaklığı dağılışı ve eğilimleri incelenmiştir. Ayrıca 2003-2021 arasında sıcaklıkları ile orman yangınları anlamlı bir ilişki olup olmadığı araştırılmıştır. Çalışmada en düşük yükseltinin etkisiyle Bey Dağları Geyik Dağlarında belirlenmiştir. En sıcak yerlerin ise Aksu Ovası, Tufa Platosu Kestel Polye Sistemi olduğu görülmüştür. Çalışma sahasında gündüz saatlerinde genellik sıcaklıklarında azalış eğilimi görülürken, geceleri artış eğiliminin görülmektedir. Yüzey yangını ilişkisini incelemek için 11 yangın Yangın çıkış noktalarına ait uzun yıllık sıcaklıklarına uygulanan regresyon analizi sonucunda günün saatinde, hiçbir noktasında sıcaklık artışının Yangınlardan önceki son 10 günde yalnızca 1 yangında tespit edilmiştir. 23 periyotta Antalya’da toplam 5076 yangınının gerçekleştiği bunların %87’sinin insan kaynaklığı Sonuçta üzerinde ana faktörün olduğu, sıcaklıklarının ancak dolaylı olarak yangınlarını etkileyebileceği anlaşılmıştır.

High-spatiotemporal-resolution surface temperature data play a crucial role in monitoring urban heat island effects. Compared with Landsat 8, MODIS products offer high temporal resolution but suffer from low spatial resolution. To address this limitation, two-step downscaling model (TSDM) was developed study for by leveraging random forest (RF) algorithms. The integrates remote sensing data, including the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), Built-up (NDBI), and Water (NDWI), alongside land cover type, digital elevation (DEM), slope, aspect. Additionally, water fitting (RF-WST) established to mitigate issue of missing over bodies. Validation using 8 reveals that average out-of-bag (OOB) error RF-250 m is 0.81, RF-WST 0.73, RF-30 0.76. root mean square (RMSE) all three models below 1.3 K. construction successfully supplements body outputs, enhancing detail. demonstrates strong performance grassland areas shows robust applicability during winter, spring, autumn. However, due half-hour discrepancy validation summer, exhibits reduced accuracy season.

Abstract Dual thermal bands capability of Landsat 8 allows for retrieving land surface temperature (LST) which is essential in agricultural and environmental studies. Accuracy LST retrieval depends upon capturing emissivity (ε) with precision. Scientific community have different approaches to determine using ε as one the inputs. This research evaluates Twumasi, SEBAL, Stathopoulou over alluvial plain Northern India. determined help these OLI/ TIR data from 8-12-2021 12-11-2023, were validated ground observations air recorded Eddy covariance measurements, a highly sophisticated precise techniques turbulent flux measurements.
