Promoting the synergy of pollution and carbon reduction (PCR), as well accelerating high-quality economic development (HQED), are two major tasks China’s current development. Thus, it is crucial to achieve a deep integration between PCR HQED. We first construct indicator system HQED, use entropy method assign weights system. The coupling coordination model often portrays level coordinated systems. apply this measure synergistic relationship HQED in 108 cities Yangtze River Economic Belt (YREB) China from 2006 2021.We further analyze its spatial-temporal characteristics, regional differences, convergence. results reveal that degree (CCD) YREB increases 0.4234 0.5832 2021. A higher CCD reflects better developmental subsystems, shifts on verge being uncoordinated barely coordinated. Meanwhile, shows trend decreasing downstream, midstream, upstream, with significant spatial positive autocorrelation characteristics. Moreover, overall differences 2021 show fluctuating trend, larger contributions inter-regional intra-regional differences. convergence whether there tendency for narrow. Abstract Taking urgent action to combat climate change and promote sustainable cities are part of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, which demand immediate from all countries. Enhancing carbon emission efficiency construction industry (CICEE) ‘static-dynamic’ perspective is crucial in addressing change. This study utilized super slack-based measure model analyze static efficiency. The Malmquist-Luenberger index model, multiple non-linear regression principal component analysis were used research driving factors dynamically.
