A Comprehensive Approach to Identifying the Supply and Demand of Urban Park Cultural Ecosystem Services in the Megalopolis Area of Shanghai, China

Urban
parks
are
vital
public
spaces
that
provide
cultural
ecosystem
services
(CESs)
enhance
the
well-being
of
city
dwellers.
As
demand
for
CESs
has
greatly
increased,
imbalance
between
CES
supply
and
become
prominent.
Accurately
identifying
whether
meets
supports
urban
park
planning
management.
However,
supply–demand
gap
lies
not
only
in
quantitative
resource
deficits,
but
also
spatial
mismatch
demand.
At
present,
scientific
quantification
methods
comprehensively
consider
both
relationships
remain
inadequate.
To
fill
this
gap,
we
propose
an
integrated
framework
combines
analysis
to
identify
CESs,
using
Shanghai
as
study
area.
The
consists
three
major
steps:
(1)
mapping
parks;
(2)
relationship
by
combining
through
bivariate
with
statistics;
(3)
categorizing
into
four
scenarios
based
on
quantity
balance
matching,
corresponding
proposals.

sub-districts

imbalanced
quantities
