Sunscreens
are
a
major
environmental
concern
because
they
continually
used
and
contain
some
of
the
most
toxic
compounds
found
in
wastewater.
The
removal
sunscreen
Types
A
B
was
evaluated
separately
by
modeling
effects
domestic
waste-containing
sunscreens.
Different
methods,
such
as
electrocoagulation
(EC),
electro-oxidation
(EO),
ozonation
(O3),
combined
electrooxidation-ozonation
method
(EO-O3),
were
analyzed
based
on
TOC
COD.
All
treatment
methods
exhibited
high
efficiency
degrading

solutions.
For
treatment,
best
involved
use
ozone,
with
efficiencies
up
to
~99%
for
~81%
sunscreen.
