The article aims to review the research findings on adsorption of dyes from aqueous media. It was observed that activated carbon and Polymer based nanomaterial are best class adsorbents for removal nano composite α-Fe2O3/graphene oxide (α-Fe2O3/GO) PAN–polyamidoamine nanoparticles dye media, with a capacity (qmax) 1998.14 2000 mg/g, respectively. A wide range values thermodynamic parameters (both negative positive) were reported across different studies. This suggested nature adsorbent important factor in determining thermodynamics adsorption. Dye uptake best-fit both Langmuir Freundlich isotherm models as well pseudo-second order kinetic model. Theoretical modelling has received lesser attention; therefore, further investigations needed understand adsorbent–adsorbate interactions at molecular level.

Biochar is a functional material prepared under controlled thermal decomposition of organic feedstocks from crops, forestry residues, sewage sludge, algal biomass, and poultry manure. Due to its intrinsic properties, biochar has been widely used as an adsorbent remove vide range pollutants such pollutants, microplastics, heavy metals, nutrients water wastewater. Currently, the accumulation in industrial, municipal agricultural wastewater become major challenge focus. This study reviewed significant number articles focused on removing (fertilizer's, antibiotics, PAHs, PCBs). The significantly reduce crop yield, quality environment dangerous human health. percentage removal metals aqueous solution (88–98%) using adsorption isotherms found be higher than industrial (55–60%) (80–85%). effective contaminants samples field-scale enhanced by increasing specific surface area pore volume granules after post-treatment.

Biochar is a carbon-rich product obtained from the thermochemical conversion of biomass. Utilizing biochar essential for enhancing economic viability and maintaining ecology effectively. This work reviews techniques producing various lignocellulosic biomass sources. Pyrolysis technology converting into has emerged as frontier research domain pollutants removal. The effects feedstock parameters, production techniques, reaction conditions (temperature, heating rate, etc.), activation, functional group modification are compared on biochar's physical chemical properties. review also focused environmental applications in several domains, such agriculture wastewater treatment. Considering extensive availability feedstock, excellent physical/chemical surface properties, inexpensive cost, remarkable potential removing water efficiently. Studying evolution properties by in-situ or post-modification great significance improving utilization value valuable resource, yet its application necessitates additional structure, well development to modify those factors.

This review article evaluates and compares the efficiency of various sustainable adsorbents for removal noxious pollutants from water environments. study discusses types concerning their performance suitability. Adsorbent include natural-based, carbon-based, waste-based, biomass-based, biopolymers-based, nanocomposites-based adsorbents, as well metallic organic frameworks, aerogels, networking crystalline solids, zeolite nanoparticles, dendrimers were reviewed. Characterisation, modification, fabrication, adsorption capacities under different conditions, isotherm models, kinetics also Adsorption pH values, adsorbent doses, concentrations, temperature, size particles have been described. One basic needs in wastewater is formulation optimisation, using columnar operations, more importantly, they can be produced quickly should cost-effective.
