An emerging "one stone, three birds" strategy was proposed to realize the value-added disposal of solid waste coal gangue (CG), synthesis superb adsorbent and efficient decontamination pollutants (i. e., dyes, heavy metals). In this process, metal ions extrated from calcined (CCG) reconstituted by a one-step hydrothermal process yield porous polymetallic silicate (named HECCGA8h). The has high adsorption capacity 270.27 185.53 mg/g for methylene blue (MB) Cd(II), respectively. actual waters, removal rate MB reaches 99.8% (in Yangtze River water) 99.42% Seawater), Cd(II) 99.11% 92.52% Thermokinetic analysis showed that HECCGA8h is spontaneous endothermic with increased entropy, exothermic. mainly driven synergism hydrogen bond, electrostatic attraction ion exchange, complexation exchange between surface group Cd(II). This research provides new way realization "treating waste".

Both biochars (BCs) and modified-biochars (MBCs) for toxic-metal/metalloid ions (TMIs) removal from water have caught much attention owing to their exceptional properties such as eco-friendly, low-carbon emission cost-effective. However, reviews on the exploration of theoretical models BCs MBCs in various systems are unobtainable. To give a summary TMIs solution systems, this review will center some typical kinetic isotherm equations sorption single, mixed, mixed metal ions/organic substance solutions. Typically, two-parameter three- parameter were stressed. The comparisons these drawn. It was found that P-2nd-O model, Langmuir Freundlich dominating adsorption manners MSSs.
