This study evaluates, for the first time, effects of UV/PMS and UV/H2O2/PMS processes on degradation sunscreen agents in synthetic natural water matrices compares their effectiveness with more conventional UV/H2O2. Investigations were conducted using a mixture organic UV filters containing 4-methylbenzylidene camphor (4-MBC) 2-ethylhexyl-4-methoxycinnamate. Among investigated UV-driven AOPs, UV/PMS/H2O2 was most effective water, while highest rate observed during EHMC by UV/PMS. The system promoted sulfate radical (68% degradation), hydroxyl contributing approximately 32%, both species contributed equally to system. Vibrio fischeri assay showed an increase inhibition (up 70%) at specific stages UV/H2O2 treatment when applied which further decreased 30%, along fluence progressive degradation. Pseudomonas putida test recorded minor toxicity (<15%) after treatments. Magnetic biochar utilized conjunction AOPs exhibited superior performance eliminating residual contaminants, providing efficient sustainable approach mitigate treatment.
