The purpose of this study is to investigate the chemical treatment impact on Washingtonia filifera (WF) fibers using sodium bicarbonate (10% NaHCO3) for varying durations (24, 48, 72, 120, and 168 h) physical mechanical characteristics polylactic acid (PLA)/WF-biochar/biomass hybrid biocomposites. Differential scanning calorimetry, thermogravimetric analysis, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy were employed examine temperature effect mineralogical composition treated raw WF monitor their thermal behavior. produced biocomposites' tensile, impact, flexural, morphological evaluated. results demonstrate that treatments improve matrix-fiber adhesion remove impurities from fiber surface. Hybrid biocomposites PLA biopolymers manufactured biochar given a 72 h exhibit improved properties, such as elasticity modulus strength under tensile flexural forces. Consequently, these new can be used in various structural non-structural products, car interiors, 3D printer filament, biomedical equipment materials, sports equipment, food packaging.
