Abstract
The
rapid
expansion
of
the
global
economy
has
led
to
a
surge
in
energy
demand,
resulting
significant
environmental
pollution
and
scarcity
due
concomitant
increase
greenhouse
gas
emissions.
advancement
deep
eutectic
solvents
(DESs)
introduced
viable
substitute
for
traditional
processing
methods,
boasting
numerous
intrinsic
benefits,
such
as
superior
eco‐compatibility,
outstanding
thermal
stability,
desirable
electrochemical
properties.
Consequently,
DESs
have
garnered
attention
from
research
community,
demonstrating
broad
spectrum
prospective
applications
variety
fields
instance
energy,
biomass
degradation,
materials
synthesis,
biomedicine.
This
review
aims
offer
comprehensive
methodical
overview
DESs,
encompassing
their
historical
development,
classification,
preparation
methodologies,
fundamental
physicochemical
Furthermore,
this
explores
synthesis
various
functional
examines
multifunctional
roles.
Crucially,
economic
viability
is
thoroughly
examined,
including
an
assessment
cost‐effectiveness
market
potential.
