This study analyzes the effect of renewable energy research & development (RRD) and nuclear (NRD) expenditures on environmental quality by considering Germany's goal achieving carbon neutrality until 2045. Hence, uses various indicators (carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, ecological footprint-EF, load capacity factor-LCF) to investigate effects RRD NRD controlling also a gross domestic product (GDP) test validity Kuznets curve (EKC) recently proposed (LCC) hypotheses. Also, includes yearly data from 1974 2018, fractional frequency Fourier autoregressive distributive lag (FADL) based FMOLS approach as main model, applies FADL DOLS wavelet causality for robustness. The empirical results reveal that (i) explanatory variables have cointegration link with CO2 emissions EF; (ii) EKC hypothesis is valid Germany, while LCC invalid; (iii) are effective only in reducing emissions; (iv) no significant EF. Considering results, German policymakers could utilize more effectively efficiently improve reduce In this way, Germany achieve its middle century benefiting facilities.

Abstract Climate change is a major threat already causing system damage to urban and natural systems, inducing global economic losses of over $500 billion. These issues may be partly solved by artificial intelligence because integrates internet resources make prompt suggestions based on accurate climate predictions. Here we review recent research applications in mitigating the adverse effects change, with focus energy efficiency, carbon sequestration storage, weather renewable forecasting, grid management, building design, transportation, precision agriculture, industrial processes, reducing deforestation, resilient cities. We found that enhancing efficiency can significantly contribute impact change. Smart manufacturing reduce consumption, waste, emissions 30–50% and, particular, consumption buildings 30–50%. About 70% gas industry utilizes technologies enhance accuracy reliability forecasts. Combining smart grids optimize power thereby electricity bills 10–20%. Intelligent transportation systems dioxide approximately 60%. Moreover, management design cities through application further promote sustainability.

Based on the perspective of industrial agglomeration, this paper employs a dynamic panel model and mediating effects to investigate impact digital economy's development air pollution in 274 Chinese cities from 2011 2019. Abstract Green credit policy is designed to address the global climate risk. However, few studies have investigated empirically whether green indeed reduces corporate carbon emission intensity. Based on firm‐level data in China and a difference‐in‐differences model, this study explores how intensity evolves following policy. We find that, whole, can effectively reduce intensity, while dynamic negative effect tends alleviate after 2017.
