Agrivoltaic (AV) systems have emerged as a transformative solution to global challenges in food–energy–water security, climate resilience, and sustainable land use. The purpose of this study is analyze trends, influences, intellectual structures, future research directions AV from 2011 2023. Using bibliometric approach guided by the PRISMA framework, 477 documents Scopus database were analyzed through performance analysis science mapping with Bibliometrix VOSviewer. Key findings reveal exponential growth output, United States, France, Germany leading publications, citations, international collaboration. Eight thematic clusters identified, including dual productivity use, renewable energy integration, policy implications, adaptation. Influential contributors, such Joshua M. Pearce, journals, Applied Energy, shape field. Emerging areas focus on advanced photovoltaic materials integrated resource management strategies. This provides comprehensive roadmap for advancing identifying critical proposing innovative solutions, fostering interdisciplinary collaborations. Despite limitations, dependency, highlights systems’ potential achieve sustainability goals.

Abstract The ongoing energy crisis, the push for carbon neutrality, and development of both European national policies are driving significant changes in mix strategies.
