Abstract Background The significance of medical implants goes beyond technical functioning and reaches into everyday life, with consequences for individuals as well society. Ethical aspects associated the use are relevant individuals’ lifeworlds need to be considered in implant care course developments. Methods This scoping review aimed provide a synthesis existing evidence regarding ethically psychosocial cultural cochlear, glaucoma cardiovascular patient-centered empirical research. Systematic literature searches were conducted EBSCOhost, Philpapers, PsycNET, Pubmed, Web Science BELIT databases. Eligible studies articles German or English language published since 2000 dealing passive based on findings from perspective (prospective) implant-wearers their significant others. Following descriptive-analytical approach, data extraction form was developed extracted accordingly. We combined basic numerical analysis study characteristics thematically organized narrative data. Results Sixty-nine included present analysis. Fifty field cochlear implants, sixteen three implants. Implant-related mainly found connection autonomy , freedom identity participation justice, whereas little no regards ethical principles privacy, safety sustainability. Conclusions Empirical research life is highly relevant, but marked by ambiguity unclarity operationalization terms contextualization. A transparent orientation framework exploration acknowledgment “lived experiences” may contribute improvement individual care, healthcare programs quality this area. Ethics-sensitive requires creating awareness identity-related issues, promoting health literacy strengthen patient adjusting More consideration needs given sustainability issues development according an approach ethics-by-design.

Worldwide, there has been an increasing prevalence of kidney disorders for several years. Kidney are characterized by abnormal biomarkers like uric acid, urea, cystatin C, creatinine, injury molecule-1, C-related protein, etc., in the human body. A person suffering from is prone to other serious health consequences, such as cardiac diseases and renal failure, which can lead death. However, early diagnosis requires effective disease management prevent progression. Existing diagnostic techniques used monitoring biomarker concentration include chromatographic assays, spectroscopic immunoassays, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), etc. They also necessitate equipped laboratory infrastructure, specific instruments, highly trained personnel working on these patients. Hence, expensive time-consuming. Since past few decades, a number biosensors, electrochemical, optical, immunosensors, potentiometric, colorimetric, have overcome drawbacks conventional modern techniques. These biosensing systems many benefits, being cost-effective, quick, simple, sensitive, specific, requiring minimum sample amount, reliable, easy miniaturize. This review article discusses uses effectual biosensors detection with their potential advantages disadvantages. Future research needs be implicated developing advanced that must economical, simple so they on-site assess function.

Technological innovations in dentistry are revolutionizing the monitoring and management of oral health. This perspective article critically examines rapid expansion remote technologies—including artificial intelligence (AI)-driven diagnostics, electronic health records (EHR), wearable devices, mobile applications, chatbots—and discusses their ethical, legal, social implications. The accelerated adoption these digital tools, particularly wake COVID-19 pandemic, has enhanced accessibility to care while simultaneously raising significant concerns regarding patient consent, data privacy, algorithmic biases. We review current applications ranging from AI-assisted detection dental pathologies blockchain-enabled transfer within EHR systems, highlighting potential for improved diagnostic accuracy risks associated with over-reliance on assessments. Furthermore, we underscore challenges posed by divide, where disparities literacy access may inadvertently exacerbate existing socio-economic inequalities. calls development rigorous implementation ethical frameworks regulatory guidelines that ensure reliability, transparency, accountability innovations. By integrating multidisciplinary insights, our discussion aims foster a balanced approach maximizes clinical benefits emerging technologies safeguarding autonomy promoting equitable healthcare delivery.
