The discrimination and recognition of biological targets, such as proteins, cells, bacteria, are utmost importance in various fields research production. These include areas like medicine, clinical diagnosis, microbiology analysis. In order to efficiently cost-effectively identify a specific target from wide range possibilities, researchers have developed technique called differential sensing. The high selectivity and reversibility of metal coordination enable precise modulation the structural morphology supramolecular assemblies, which is essential for development intelligent application functionalized materials. In this study, sheet-like assemblies (Pyr-O@tQ[14]) constructed by twisted cucurbit[14]urils (tQ[14]) pyrene derivatives (Pyr-O) through host-guest interactions, exhibit excellent optical properties, achieves highly sensitive detection Hg2+ fluorescence quenching, with a limit 0.177 μM. A novel smart platform, compatible smartphones, developed to enhance efficiency practicality practical applications. From microscopic perspective, adjusting concentration can change Pyr-O@tQ[14] from lamellar square finally spherical, demonstrating dynamic control assembly structure in response environmental stimuli. Pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCPs), a class of emerging pollutants, can accumulate in the environment cause endocrine disruption, damage to reproductive system, even cancer. Hence, fast monitoring PPCPs is significant importance for human health. Gold nanoparticles (AuNPs)-based colorimetric sensing promising fast, in-field analysis has gained widespread application monitoring. This review aims present development sensors based on AuNPs detection various PPCPs. Methodological innovations breakthroughs analytical performances are summarized. The different principles AuNPs, along with their corresponding advantages, applicability, limitations, discussed detail. Additionally, systematic overview AuNPs-based methods determining types was provided. Finally, further prospects challenges highlighted promote advancement technologies AuNPs.
