Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) is a gaseous signaling molecule that regulates various physiological and pathological processes in the central nervous system. It vital to develop an effective method detect H2S vivo elucidate its critical role. Herein, based on simple postsynthetic modification, we present innovative strategy by confining H2S-triggered thiolysis dinitrophenyl (DNP) ether within luminescent metal–organic framework (MOF) address those issues. Due cleavage DNP moiety H2S, nanoprobe gives rise remarkable fluorescence turn-on signal with large shift 190 nm also provides high selectivity against interferents including competing biothiols. In particular, virtue unique structural property MOF, it exhibits ultrafast sensing ability (only 5 s). Moreover, enhancement efficiency displays good linear correlation concentration range 0–160 μM detection limit 0.29 μM.
