Biotoxins are pervasive in food and the environment, posing significant risk to human health. The most effective strategy mitigate arising from biotoxin exposure is through their specific sensitive detection. Aptasensors have emerged as pivotal tools, leveraging aptamers biorecognition elements transduce specificity of aptamer-target interactions into quantifiable signals for analytical applications, thereby facilitating meticulous detection biotoxins. When integrated with readily portable devices such lateral flow assays (LFAs), personal glucose meters (PGMs), smartphones, various measuring parameters like pH pressure, aptasensors significantly advanced field monitoring. These commercially available enable precise, situ, real-time analysis, offering great potential environmental matrices. This review highlights recent progress monitoring using aptasensors, discussing both applications challenges encountered. By addressing these impediments, we anticipate that a aptasensor-based system will open new avenues future.
