BACKGROUND Young people are particularly at risk of developing mental health problems, a challenge exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Digital tools such as apps and chatbots show promise in providing accessible, cost-effective, less stigmatized ways strengthening their health. However, while these interventions offer benefits, they extend measures beyond traditional therapeutic settings relationships, which raises ethical concerns due to absence established guidelines regulations. This is notable for technologies incorporating serious gaming elements. In addition, adolescents sensitive times vulnerable phase, shows great potential effective use preventive sensitizing measures. Considering lack an integration into existing structures among many young users, considerations become crucial. OBJECTIVE scoping review aims build knowledge base on aspects implementing gamified digital people. METHODS We conducted search research articles conference papers from 2015 2023 English, German, Spanish. identified 1815 studies using unique combination keywords databases Scopus, Web Science, MEDLINE, PsycINFO. Predictive analytics, powered by advancements in machine learning (ML), is reshaping the landscape of clinical psychology and mental health care. This paper explores transformative potential ML algorithms early diagnosis, personalized treatment planning, predictive risk assessments for disorders. By analysing complex datasets, including behavioural, genetic, environmental variables, models provide unprecedented accuracy identifying patterns factors associated with conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia. The study highlights integration natural language processing (NLP) patient interactions, wearable technologies real-time monitoring, reinforcement adaptive therapeutic interventions. concludes emphasizing a collaborative approach involving clinicians, data scientists, policymakers to ensure equitable effective implementation.

The aim this scoping review is identify examine available literature on that needs populations order gauge their feasibility utility for addressing anxiety. Additionally, we provide an overview users' perceptions about preferences mHealth-delivered mental screening intervention systems. Out 169 articles identified, 16 met inclusion criteria. Studies were conducted across a wide range countries, age groups, subpopulations including individuals with bipolar disorder, anxiety, perinatal depression, PTSD, chronic pain, as well refugees, veterans, transgender LGBTQ+ individuals. All feasibility/acceptability testing stage users. Identified strengths included simplicity, accessibility, convenience, availability support between sessions providers, remote access care team. Weaknesses problems charging phone batteries exceeding data limits, privacy concerns, general lack comfort app-based support. Based upon review, recommendations future development value developer-user coproduction methods, need user variation smartphones, or connectivity limitations, stigma, confidentiality concerns communities.

Background Many youth with significant mental health concerns face limited access to services. Digital programs, such as mobile apps designed address issues, have the potential expand strategies for managing these conditions. However, few are specifically experiencing severe concerns, suicidal ideation. BritePath is a new app developed enhance communication and interaction between providers at risk behavior. Objective This study aims explore care providers’ opinions regarding use of Methods We conducted individual semistructured interviews 17 across 7 states. Interviews were via video, recorded, transcribed. Codes using team-based approach, discrepancies resolved through team discussions. Results Most aware in general expressed interest trying patients depression, suicidality, or both. Analyses identified 4 key themes related apps: (1) almost all viewed an adjunct to, rather than replacement for, psychotherapy visits; (2) most concerned about cost them; (3) noted challenge maintaining patient engagement over time; (4) privacy, terms both data shared developers privacy within families. additional themes: believed that safety plans could be beneficial behavior; reported BritePath’s interactive features youth; appreciated flexibility ability tailor its content needs; integrating into clinical workflows systems. Conclusions The expanding, yet there understanding how effectively integrate tools treatment. Providers increasingly referring apps, also several particularly safety.

Purpose Stepped Care Models (SCM) and other approaches for organizing the delivery of services resources by individual mental health (MH) needs are being increasingly implemented in post-secondary institutions. However, no consensus definitions exist what constitutes a SCM students (PSS), there is little guidance evaluation these complex, multicomponent interventions. The purpose this research to identify characterize MH substance use interventions PSS that apply SCM, stepped approach (i.e., care “lite”), and/or organize resources/services based on needs. Methods A rapid scoping review peer-reviewed articles was conducted using OVID MEDLINE®, Embase, EBSCO CINAHL, PsycINFO®, ERIC. Eligible studies included improving or among applying another way offered according Results: 5757 abstracts were reviewed, resulting full text examination 172 studies. Data extracted from 68 eligible comprising 50 (SCMs: n = 7, “lite”: 13; organized matched needs: 30). Almost all involved website/app symptom tracking often within intervention. Most addressed either alcohol use, depression, anxiety eating disorders. variety models applied, but not generally geared look at individual-level outcomes manner captured overall effect related specific “dose” intervention received. focused symptoms, satisfaction, utilization; student-related such as academic success rarely used. Student co-design described. Conclusions/Implications Despite increasing implementation SCMs settings, few model have been published.
