We were disappointed to read the unfortunate commentary by Cassivi and Blanchet Garneau (1) regarding our manuscript. While all science is subject critique, response peer-reviewed study reads, at best, as a thinly-veiled attack on rigor legitimacy of conclusions paper. From start, flawed in its description aim.The authors state that aim paper was obtain data for developing mobile health interventions Black people with one or more mental disorders. However, focus article young adults, broadly, not solely disorders.Furthermore, reduced research questions areas explored simply "data" will help development interventions. This gross understatement only simplifies study, but does disservice ultimate goal (i.e., exploring impact racism mobile-health attitudes, increasing representation adult voices mHealth research). This misstatement paper's aims makes it difficult take authors' critiques seriously.Next, assert we do establish reason using mixed method design.Yet, next sentence they also note justified conducting how did so.Beyond this contradiction, themselves noted, highlighted strengths utilizing methodologies.
