In construction industry, phase change materials (PCMs), have recently been studied and found effective in increasing energy efficiency of buildings through their high capacity to store thermal energy. this study, a combination Capric (CA)-Palmitic acid (PA) with optimum mass ratio 85–15% is used impregnated recycled concrete powder (RCP). The resulting composite produced as foam tested for series physico-mechanical, microstructural properties. results show that can host PCMs without leaking if proper quantity. Further, the differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) RCP/CA-PA composites latent heat 34.1 33.5 J/g liquid solid phases, respectively, which remain stable even after 300 changing cycles. regard, indoor temperature performance rooms supplied foams made PCMs, showed significantly enhanced efficiency. addition, it shown inclusion reduce porosity pore connectivity, mechanical are promising point suitability using RCP-impregnated enhance thermo-regulative buildings. On basis, use properties recommended, especially be conjunction concrete.
