Phase-change thermal storage is essential for renewable energy utilization, addressing spatiotemporal transfer imbalances. However, enhancing heat in pure phase-change materials (PCMs) has been challenging due to their low conductivity. Rotational actuation, as an active method, improves and efficiency. This study numerically examined the melting behavior of finned units at various rotational speeds. The influence speed was analyzed via time, rate, phase interface, temperature, flow distribution. Results showed that effects were non-monotonic: excessive speeds may hinder complete or reduce There existed optimal fastest rate a limited range melting. At preferred rotation 2.296 rad·s−1, utilization PCMs tube could mitigate risk local overheating by 97.2% compared static tube, while improving efficiency 204.9%.
