Research on digital economy (DE) and carbon environment governance (CEG) holds paramount importance in attaining sustainable development objectives. By focusing 30 provinces within China as specific instances, this research constructed a comprehensive evaluation framework to assess the overall progress of DE CEG from 2011 2020. Moreover, it employed coupling coordination model alongside spatio-temporal evolution patterns examine state (CCD) temporal spatial features DE-CEG. First, levels China's were both showing an upward trend, with average level CCD improving year by year. The arrangement exhibited distinctive "bell-shaped" pattern, characterized narrow at ends, wide middle. three major regions was east, central west followed descending order, underscoring notable disparities Second, kernel density estimation exploratory data analysis substantiated differentiation for Notably, these analyses unveiled prevailing "high-high" "low-low" agglomeration, agglomeration effect became significant over time. Finally, among absolute differences, region least disparity, while western displayed greatest variation, differences undergoing fluctuating trajectory. Among relative most pronounced contrast observed between eastern regions, whereas central-east central-west comparable. Remarkably, accounted 40% total emerging predominant contributor divergence DE-CEG framework. Consequently, is imperative future developmental efforts focus diminishing regions. In light findings, set strategies recommendations had been formulated propel CEG.

Sustained economic growth and environmental degradation are two of the key goals in SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals). Digital finance provides an opportunity to simultaneously address trade-off between goals. Based on data from CEADs, CNBS, CFPS, IDFPU, VIIRS NPCGIS, this article examines causal impact transmission mechanisms digital consumption-based HCEs.
