This study examines the dynamics of transition to green economies in relation energy poverty European countries. By employing augmented mean group (AMG) and fully modified ordinary least squares estimations (FMOLS), we find empirical evidence that indicates influence variables representing processes transitioning on poverty. To further elucidate these relationships, Granger causality analysis was conducted. The findings this research contribute ongoing discourse surrounding from perspective productivity. Improving carbon emission efficiency (CEE) is a necessary consideration in response to economic downturn and climate change. In this case, industrial symbiosis paves the way for cities conserve energy, reduce emissions, upgrade development patterns. This paper verifies influence of policies on CEE, represented by National Demonstration Eco-industrial Parks (NDEPs). The difference-in-differences (DID) spatial DID (SDID) models, as well panel data 282 Chinese during 2003–2019, were used complete argumentation process. results show that NDEP policy dramatically increases CEE pilot cities. Compared with without NDEP, climb 3.49% mainly due structure upgrading green technological innovation. Moreover, eastern, non-resource-based, multi-NDEP experience noticeable increase CEE. not only but also their neighboring within 450 km through diffusion demonstration effects. All these findings help promote China’s construction offer decision-making guidance governance low-carbon transition China others following similar pathway.
