ABSTRACT This paper proposes a transdisciplinary approach to design future degrowth‐oriented industrial policies in pursuing well‐being economy the case of specific growth model. Specifically, we show that Visegrad countries (Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia, V4s) is clarion call for degrowth literature be much more modest self‐critical. The transition to a Circular Economy (CE) is fundamental response contemporary environmental and economic challenges. Sustainable human resource management (SHRM) pivotal in equipping the workforce with green skills, reskilling strategies, fostering organisational sustainability. This study undertakes comparative analysis of Portugal Sweden examine influence SHRM strategies on CE adoption. Utilising Eurostat data employing statistical analyses, assesses training, circular material use, employment growth both countries. findings reveal that exhibits considerably higher engagement training (32.26% vs. 10.87% Portugal), more prevalent use (7.73% 2.31%), consistent job (higher R2 regression models). These underscore role well-designed public policies adoption, underscoring their alignment Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDGs 8 12. insights derived from this are significance for policymakers organisations seeking enhance sustainability business models.

Barriers to Pro-Environmental Behavior Change: A Review of Qualitative Research DOI Open Access

In recent decades, reports of deforestation, mass extinctions, biodiversity loss, and emergencies like floods droughts have clearly highlighted the impact human activities on these outcomes. This underscores need for significant lifestyle changes to mitigate this impact. Pro-environmental behavior (PEB) change involves adopting actions that protect environment reducing environmentally harmful activities. While qualitative research may provide unique insights into PEB barriers are challenging capture through quantitative methods, studies scattered across different literatures with little integration. With present review, we bring together from examine whether those reveal compatible existing barrier frameworks environmental psychology. We identified 38 change. Our analysis revealed most individual pro-environmental action in align psychology frameworks. These were experienced not only by individuals their role as consumer or citizen, but also community-level actors (e.g., seeking implement policies) industrial decision-makers aiming reduce ecological footprint business activities). findings underscore multifaceted nature emphasize importance addressing structural institutional factors alongside individual-level interventions.
