Combating climate change and reducing CO2 emissions are essential for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals within a sustainable development framework. Various factors, such as institutional quality, affect environmental quantifying this linkage can lead to appropriate policy-making aimed at pollution. The present study provides comprehensive analysis of impact quality on in Middle East North Africa (MENA) region both aggregate (institutional quality) disaggregate levels (corruption control, government effectiveness, political stability, violence terrorism, regulatory rule law, voice, accountability). This analyzes data from 1996 2018 using Driscoll-Kraay Newey-West standard error approaches assess various factors quality. findings reveal that GDP, non-renewable energy consumption, trade activities have significant negative effect environment. In contrast, oil prices, renewable energy, foreign direct investment (FDI) help reduce long run. Institutional its other five indices, except stability absence violence/terrorism, found contribute reduction region. Furthermore, Dumitrescu Hurlin Granger non-causality model reveals bidirectional causal relationships between energies, trade, FDI, with emissions. Reducing MENA be achieved by promoting green economic growth, developing efficiency industries, investing low-carbon infrastructure, directing FDI toward projects.

This study examines the potential for long-term sustainable development in highly developed and sophisticated economies by analyzing N-shaped environmental Kuznets curve relationship between economic complexity index ecological footprint of five largest European from 1994 to 2020. It also assesses joint impact R&D expenditure, renewable energy consumption, taxation, moderating effect effort-economic linkage on complexity-ecological nexus. Long-run estimation was conducted using Driscoll-Kraay standard error estimators. Subsequently, panel-corrected errors robustness test performed. The results confirm existence EKC reveal a significant inverse taxation their footprint. expenditure dampening is validated, indicating pathways toward sustainability. Therefore, when considered together, enhancing taxes, can alleviate depletion complex analyzed. These findings have essential policy implications.

This study provides a comprehensive evaluation of the Breusch-Pagan test's performance in detecting heteroscedasticity across various structures and levels, addressing significant gap existing literature. Through Monte Carlo simulations, we investigate power, Type II errors ( = 0), I 0) confirming homoscedasticity assumptions at different sample sizes (100, 250, 500). Our objectives include assessing ability to detect levels structures, examining impact size on its performance, comparing identifying limitations potential biases. findings reveal that varies with poor detection low-level but improved higher particularly for exponential (EHS). While increased enhances it remains inadequate linear (LHS) square root (SQRTHS). Based our results, recommend cautious use test, especially when dealing or specific like LHS SQRTHS. We suggest using test moderate high EHS quadratic (QHS). For researchers limited SQRTHS, alternative tests may be considered. Finally, emphasize importance underlying structure dataset choose most suitable interpretation.
