Despite the agribusiness industry's potential, it is still characterised by a high level of conventional means production, denying numerous opportunities along value chain in Africa. Meanwhile, adopting modern production using digital innovations can boost farmers' efficiency. Given relevance within industry, current paper gives an overview particularly Africa, synthesising existing literature on to consolidate scattered ideas and give recommendations for practice future studies. The development of the online meal-delivery industry is a double-edged sword, with potential to both hamper and drive progress towards achievement Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Yet most studies examining this have been conducted from narrow perspective specific academic fields, focusing on single issues or individual cases. In paper, by drawing upon thematic foci SDGs as an analytical framework, we systematic objective review assess consequences meal-delivery's for sustainable development. After selecting reviewing 128 peer-reviewed articles identified Web Science, systematically coded their contents, examined key trends along knowledge gaps. shows that direct SDGs—for instance, human health, plastic waste, carbon emissions, labor conditions—have thoroughly discussed.
