Abstract LaFeO 3 /biochar composite is prepared by cellulose-modified microwave-assisted method at 450 °C. The structure identified Raman spectrum which, consists of characteristics biochar bands and octahedral perovskite chemical shifts. morphology examined scanning electron microscope (SEM); two phases are observed, rough microporous orthorhombic particles. BET surface area the 57.63 m 2 /g. applied as a sorbent for removal Pb 2+ , Cd Cu ions from aqueous solutions wastewater. adsorption ability reaches maximum pH > 6 ions, pH-independent adsorption. follows pseudo 2nd order kinetic model, Langmuir isotherm Temkin isotherms ions. capacities, q 606, 391, 112 mg/g respectively. electrostatic interaction responsible on composite. In case form complex with functional groups adsorbate. shows high selectivity studied metal excellent performance in real samples. proposed can be easily regenerated effectively reused.
