Abstract Since teacher work engagement is argued to substantially affect education quality and learners’ performance, unveiling the factors affecting of high significance. As an attempt explore antecedents this construct in English-as-a-foreign-language (EFL) teachers, we tested a structural model based on teachers’ professional identity, grit, foreign language teaching enjoyment. A sample 476 EFL teachers Iran was requested complete online survey constituting valid scales four constructs. Structural equation modeling (SEM) results indicated that fitted data sufficiently. The revealed enjoyment were direct correlates engagement. Additionally, identity affected indirectly via grit. We tested an assessment model, by which teacher self-efficacy, perceived school climate, and psychological wellbeing at work, might predict teaching enjoyment. invited a convenience sample of 355 teachers English as foreign language (EFL) to respond four online questionnaires. used confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) check the scales' construct validity structural equation modeling (SEM) test associations among variables. Our results showed that school-climate, were direct predictors teaching-enjoyment (FLTE). Teacher self-efficacy affected FLTE indirectly, induced well-being. School climate also indirectly influenced FLTE, mediated wellbeing, with predictor wellbeing. directly discuss implications these findings for teacher-education programs.

Teaching satisfaction and resilience play important roles in the education field, but most research focuses on higher education, with few scholars studying their impact language teaching within context of middle school education. In this sense, study employs a mixed-methods design, selecting 375 Chinese English teachers to investigate relationship between self-efficacy teachers' well-being. A structural equation modeling approach NVivo were utilized analyze quantitative data qualitative data, respectively. Quantitative results reveal that both mediate Qualitative interviews primarily enhances job commitment, reduces stress, improves student relationships, increases professional growth. ABSTRACT As artificial intelligence (AI) has been integrated into foreign language (FL) education, learners' well‐being is influenced by various factors, including technological, personal and contextual elements. However, few studies explored how external internal factors jointly shape FL in the era of generative AI. To fill this gap, study explores effects AI acceptance, perceived teachers' enthusiasm self‐efficacy on investigating 613 university learners English as a (EFL). The structural equation modelling results reveal that (1) acceptance positively predicts EFL self‐efficacy; (2) does not predict (3) for receptive skills mediates relationship between acceptance/perceived well‐being, whereas productive play mediation role. This research broadens understanding antecedents extends application theory AI‐driven educational environment, providing significant pedagogical implications.

Abstract With the rise of positive psychology (PP) in 1954 and its flowering last decade 20th century, focus psychological educational studies has shifted from examining negative health‐related outcomes to their counterparts. In line with this new research agenda, several L2 researchers have studied different predictors among language teachers. Few studies, however, been dedicated teachers' well‐being potential predictors. To bridge lacuna, current tried evaluate role emotion regulation resilience predicting Chinese EFL well‐being. This also strived find out whether perceived self‐efficacy could mediate interaction between well‐being, resilience. For purpose, 430 English teachers recruited classes were asked respond four closed‐ended questionnaires. The analysis exhibited strong associations resilience, results divulged that be meaningfully predicted by ability Additionally, indicated association significantly mediated beliefs. These may some useful instructive implications for principals teacher trainers.

Abstract The use of humor and language play in second (L2) education has received increasing attention from researchers different contexts. However, the determining governing factors implementing English as a foreign (EFL) contexts have been overlooked. To fill this gap, study used semi-structured interview with 35 Chinese EFL teachers to sketch ecological practice at micro, meso, macro levels. findings thematic analysis showed that ‘teachers’ personality/character’, ‘classroom environment’, ‘students’ gender’, ‘proficiency level’ were most significant micro-level classes. Concerning meso-level factors, ‘institutional environment/climate’ rules, regulations, policies’ influential. Furthermore, level, it was revealed ‘culture’, ‘social norms’, ‘educational system’ determine implementation L2 education. are discussed light empirical theoretical foundations corresponding implications for presented.
