Studies on epistemic beliefs in L2 research are a nascent stage. Acknowledging deeply rooted and complex intersections between prevalent cultural norms within society, individually held beliefs, mutually shared opinions among members of social group, this Q methodological study explored Chinese university students’ rationales for holding particular language-related beliefs. Twenty students learning English as foreign language participated post Q-sorting interviews, where they explained the certain sets about knowing language. We analyzed data using Card Content Analysis (CCA), particularly suitable approach methodology. The findings revealed that fairly sophisticated these were culturally rooted. placed high premium making conscientious effort to learn English; prioritized commitment perseverance over having special talent languages. respondents also believed English, any language, is evolving time. Notably, while respecting their instructors, realized teachers, or even people whom mother tongue, might occasionally make linguistic errors. This study used Q methodology to explore the subjective perspectives of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners regarding sources willingness communicate (WTC). A sample 40 undergraduate students enrolled in an language teaching program at Turkish university was obtained. Based on their shared viewpoints, participants were clustered into three groups: self-assured communicators, motivated and nervous communicators. Self-assured communicators exhibited high levels self-confidence, while displayed strong unwavering motivation improve speaking skills. Nervous other hand, showed noticeable signs anxiety, impeding WTC. provides evidence that amalgamation internal external factors works synergy shape EFL learners' WTC classroom. Recognising this interplay can lead development targeted interventions instructional approaches, improving L2 communicative behaviours. Abstract Narrative inquiry has gained traction in applied linguistics as a complementary approach to positivistic research, focusing on the subjectivities of individuals’ lived experiences and using stories data, analytical tools, reporting practice. Although numerous methodologically oriented publications narrative field reflect its vitality, scholars have raised questions about complexity ambiguity underlying what exactly constitutes inquiry. Abstract This study employs Q methodology to investigate Chinese EFL students' foreign language enjoyment in GenAI-assisted English learning environments. Through Q-sorting and follow-up written responses from university students, this research identified three distinct patterns: (1) Instrumental Support Orientation, characterized by derived GenAI's immediate assistance error correction features, but showing limited engagement with deeper processes; (2) Independent Learning Achievement, reflecting high satisfaction autonomous goal attainment efficiency while demonstrating resistance peer interaction collaborative learning; (3) Learning Feature Exploration, emphasizing through experimenting various GenAI functionalities expressing significant skepticism about outcomes anxiety reduction. Purpose This study aims to identify the factors and strategies that motivate Thai construction professionals adopt Blockchain Technology (BT). Previous research highlights BT’s characteristics but lacks focus on features most persuasive for professionals. Design/methodology/approach Using Q methodology with 28 participants from academic, advanced technology sectors, this explores their perceptions BT adoption addresses gap in identifying Findings The analysis identified eight distinct professional groups, each unique of motivating factors. Based these insights, seven were proposed promote adoption. A key finding is influenced not only by professionals’ roles, positions accountability also existing technological competencies. Research limitations/implications use methodology, while insightful, may capture full complexity attitudes toward Additionally, industry small sample size limit its generalizability other cultural economic contexts. Abstract Mining projects can have adverse effects on public health, potentially impacting the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda. While environmental impacts are typically addressed through mandatory impact assessments, health consequences often receive inadequate attention, despite being a major concern for affected communities. Policy instruments mitigating these issues, including assessment (HIA), remain underutilized, particularly in Africa. We conduct Q‐methodology study Mozambique to (1) identify policy preferences of government, private sector, and civil society stakeholders regulating large‐scale mining projects; (2) actively engage local national‐level dialogue strengthening practise.
