Heavy metal ions easily accumulate in the human body through food chain, and their binding with sulfur-containing proteins, enzymes, various metabolites can affect liver, kidneys, central nervous system. The development of sensors for detecting Ag other provides an economically efficient means protecting environment health. This review focused on latest developments fluorescent colorimetric organic small-molecule identifying Ag. We analyzed recognition principles mechanisms; discussed sensitivity, specificity, stability; conducted in-depth research application performance practical environments.
