Rapid urbanization has exerted pressure for development on public transportation infrastructure. The rise in population driven consumers to seek efficient, cost-effective, and environmentally sustainable transportation. objective of this study was assess the determinants influencing consumers’ behavioral intention acceptance utilizing electric integrated UTAUT2 theory planned behavior underwent a higher-order construct using partial least squares structural equation modeling analysis thoroughly evaluate key factors accept utilized 55-item questionnaire distributed 438 respondents. findings indicated that domains had most significant effect, with hedonic motivation as predominant variable, followed by effort expectancy performance expectancy. This primary factor use transportation, highlights importance ensuring user-friendly convenient experience design delivery services. Substantial implications, both theoretical practical, are also posited. Considering impactful variables, deduced government, sectors, vehicle developers should place increased emphasis enhancing customers’ transport manner.

Electric vehicles (EVs) emerged as a help for Indonesia pathway to address environmental challenges related air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions from the transportation sector. Despite governmental efforts, including Presidential Regulation No. 55/2019, EV adoption rates in remain low, although sales are increasing annually due limited charging infrastructure, high upfront costs, consumer perception. This study distinguishes itself previous research by moving beyond singular focus on policy, factors, barriers, or economic opportunities. Instead, it integrates these dimensions into cohesive analysis while placing particular emphasis government policies. By adopting this multidimensional approach, presents nuanced understanding of Indonesia, exploring not only drivers, challenges, potential but also tangible benefits manufacturing usage both producers consumers within current regulatory framework. It highlights transformative impacts key areas such job creation, GDP expansion, energy security, offering strategic insights policymakers, industry leaders, stakeholders. Background: The automotive industry is pivotal in advancing sustainability, with electric vehicles (EVs) essential for reducing emissions and promoting cleaner transport. This study examines the determinants of EV adoption intentions Thailand, integrating demographic psychographic factors from Environmental psychology innovation diffusion theory; Methods: Data a structured questionnaire, administered to 4003 respondents at gas stations charging facilities across were analyzed using Correlated Mixed-Ordered Probit Model Heterogeneity Means (CMOPMHM); Results: Findings indicate that younger adults, particularly those aged 25–34 years old 45–54 old, are more likely adopt EVs, whereas conventional or hybrid vehicle owners less inclined. Rural residency travel also hinders adoption.
