Precision dairy tools (PDT) can provide timely information on individual cow's physiological and behavioral parameters, which lead to more efficient management of the farm. Although economic rationale behind adoption PDT has been extensively discussed in literature, socio-psychological aspects related these technologies have received far less attention. Therefore, this paper proposes a model that builds upon theory planned behavior develops hypotheses regarding cognitive constructs, their interaction with farmers' perceived risks social networks, overall influence adoption. These are tested using generalized structural equation for (a) automatic milking systems (AMS) farms (b) usually adopted AMS. Results show is affected directly by intention, effects subjective norms, control, attitudes mediated through intention. A unit increase control score associated an marginal probability AMS 0.05 0.19, respectively. Subjective norms 0.009 0.05, results suggest exerts stronger PDT, particularly compared norms. Technology-related networks 0.026 0.10, Perceived negatively affect 0.042 0.16, respectively, having negative attitudes, self-confidence, intentions. imply integrating farmers within knowledge-sharing minimizing technologies, enhancing confidence ability use significantly enhance uptake.

ABSTRACT Carbon farming (CF) is an approach to agricultural production that aims increase soil organic carbon. The main objective of this article was investigate the intentions Serbian farmers implement CF practices based on extended model Theory Planned Behaviour (TPB). research sample consisted cereal from northern Serbia. analysis conducted using structural equation modelling and simultaneous confirmatory factor analysis. novelty study lies in revealing role embeddedness a family farm context, reinforced by specific morality, both which play significant shaping farmers' intentions. However, effect such path dependencies ambiguous. Path had positive subjective norms, turn indirect relation perceived behavioural control, negative adopt CF. paradox more experienced confident were less likely sustainable explained overconfidence bias, useful observation for policy makers terms developing extension services. A second important finding confirmation key morality identification motives related land succession, will be also policy.

Purpose Biofortification is a promising strategy for addressing malnutrition and food insecurity by enriching staple crops with nutrients. However, farmers’ adoption crucial their success. This study aims to shed light on Ethiopian farmers' intentions adopt biofortified orange-fleshed sweet potatoes (OFSP) using the motivation, opportunity ability (MOA) framework. Design/methodology/approach used data from cross-sectional survey of 370 potato farmers in Ethiopia. Binary logistic regression analysis was employed examine factors influencing intention OFSP. Findings Ability-, motivation- opportunity-related significantly influenced intention. Specifically, knowledge OFSP benefits, production skills, crop characteristics access institutional services positively influences adoption. farming experience has negative effect. Practical implications These findings emphasize importance educating about OFSP’s high vitamin A content favourable agronomic features. Additionally, understanding experiences enhancing skills are increasing rates. Targeted educational programs support can address these gaps deficiencies. Originality/value first analyse an MOA It offers novel approach complex interplay psychological that influence intentions. Furthermore, this provides valuable insights into context, filling gap literature. contribute development targeted strategies promoting Ethiopia other similar global contexts.
