Resource consumption, global greenhouse gas emissions, and their effects on human health have pushed the food sector to produce novel foods such as cultured meat. Cultured meat could respond demands for sustainable transformations in sector; however, are consumers ready change eating habits? This research analyses consumer perceptions of by linking it quality, health, sustainability, socio-economic aspects. The study adopts a qualitative approach, through in-depth interviews, explores Italian consumers’ findings show how is perceived alternative that safeguards environment, natural resources, animal welfare. However, highlights need more information production phase this food. Research into hazards risks essential confirm its safety. Indeed, further investments needed obtain safety reliability new respondents feared introducing damage actors involved agri-food chain reducing jobs, they were not inclined abandon culinary traditions. results suggest companies governments which aspects optimize factors invest communicate with consumers.

The world of intellectual property (IP) is a complex and evolving landscape, essential for safeguarding innovations from basic science. Basic science, involving long-term, high-risk research, crucial breakthroughs in fields like medicine, engineering, computing. In today's competitive market, protecting commercializing these vital. IP rights, such as patents, copyrights, trademarks, offer legal protection, incentivizing further research development. However, navigating the landscape challenging due to varied laws regulations. Digital technologies global collaborations add complexities, necessitating new strategies. This chapter explores key concepts, significance addresses international ethical considerations. It also provides case studies discusses future trends developments.

Abstract The landscape of scientific research in Latin America (LA), particularly the realms Physiologically Based Pharmacokinetic (PBPK) and Biopharmaceutic models (PBPM), is a mosaic varied contributions, collaborations, specializations. This study examines production region using data from Scopus PubMed databases collected between 2011 2023. Brazil stands out as prominent country terms quantity publications. When considering thematic specialization, Colombia cones first with greatest Relative Specialization Index (RSI), followed by Brazil, Cuba, Uruguay, Mexico, Argentina. Regarding internationalization, Mexico are currently exerting significant influence, through their increasing cooperation United States Europe. Interestingly, there lack inside at regional level. contribution Latin-American institutions, State University Maringá leads number publications, São Paulo Federal Paulo. In this work, we analyzed strengths weaknesses LA’s offering roadmap for future collaborative specialized efforts field PBPK PBBM.

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a grave threat to global health that made worse by the abuse and excessive use of antibiotics. This review looks into processes this bacterial resistance, particularly efflux pump systems, calls for consideration alternative approaches. The antimicrobial plant derived bioactive compounds, rich in phytochemicals, are significance as they can serve mute mechanisms. Some core active compounds such flavonoids, alkaloids, phenolics, essential oils have been proven work on some multi-drug resistant pathogens Among other things, also discusses how phytochemicals interact with ordinary antibiotics improve drug effectiveness while minimizing chances resistance. case studies emphasized suggest antimicrobials potent tools fight against AMR. In conclusion, results emphasize need incorporation within modern treatment approaches order curb problems AMR world.
