Purpose In higher education, the appreciation and implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) has led to debate polarization. This study examines how institutional environment at universities impacts value perception intention adopt AI in education. It seeks optimize adoption pathway by identifying essential “must-have factors” “value drivers.” Design/methodology/approach Employing technology-organization-environment (TOE) framework alongside technology acceptance model (TAM) perceived concepts, this research utilizes a partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) approach complemented necessary condition analysis (NCA), novel context, which allows us distinguish between critical antecedents drivers evaluation technology. Findings Results indicate that organizational complexity, readiness, competency, compatibility competitive advantage significantly affect AI, mediated stakeholders’ perceptions its ease use usefulness. These factors enhance Perceived usefulness highest effect size importance differs Europe South America. External like partner support are considerations be met, while some internal sufficient conditions for adoption. Originality/value The underscores certain factors, setting priorities management actions differentiates general practical implementation, highlighting role as condition, although non-value-driving factor.

The purpose of this research is to propose an enterprise architecture framework for planning a drinking water company blueprint. In companies, it very important ensure that the systems and information technology used meet business needs effectively efficiently. However, system supports company's operations still be improved, get better operational quality. case, companies need can assist in designing developing architectures strengthen competitive advantage, optimize performance, compliance with applicable regulations standards. Therefore, author proposes selection based on Open Group Architecture Framework or TOGAF. widely implementing architectures. TOGAF consists four main components, namely architecture, application data architecture. Enterprise helps develop accelerate product service innovation improve efficiency. Data managing utilizing making right decisions. By adopting TOGAF-based framework, use technology, increase flexibility anticipating changes community products services.

This study presents a practical implementation of Business Process Reengineering (BPR) to streamline teaching assignment workflows at the University Basilicata, higher education institution (HEI) facing administrative inefficiencies exacerbated by rigid regulatory frameworks. By integrating process modeling, simulation, and digital tools, research addresses systemic bottlenecks in resource allocation, transparency, procedural delays inherent traditional academic workflows. The methodology employs dual-phase approach: (1) detailed “AS-IS” analysis using BPMN 2.0 map existing processes (2) data-driven “TO-BE” redesign validated through discrete event simulation (Simul8®, Version 31). Key innovations include automation approval workflows, dynamic prioritization, stakeholder communication protocols. Simulation results demonstrate 35% reduction end-to-end processing time 22% improvement staff utilization while maintaining compliance with national accreditation standards (the AVA framework) legislative mandates (Law 240/2010). case underscores BPR’s role balancing bureaucratic constraints operational agility, offering actionable insights for HEIs navigating transformation. prioritizing transparency alignment, redesigned not only enhances efficiency but also strengthens accountability management—a critical factor public institutions under increasing scrutiny fiscal educational quality outcomes. work contributes growing discourse on BPR academia, advocating simulation-driven methodologies as catalysts sustainable, stakeholder-centric innovation environments.
