Informatization plays a leading role in promoting the deep integration of technology and industry stimulating vitality new business creation. Based on city-level data from 2003 to 2022, this study investigates effect informatization urban entrepreneurial activity mechanisms using establishment "pilot zones for industrialization integration" as policy shock employing time-varying difference-in-differences (DID) method. The findings show that significantly enhances activity. Moreover, is stronger smart manufacturing service industries, well cities with superior economic levels higher administrative rankings. mechanism test reveals mainly stimulates by enhancing technical talents technological foundations, expanding market demand, improving investment environment. This study examines how executives’ IT backgrounds affect corporate digital technology innovation, using panel data from listed companies between 2011 and 2021. Findings indicate that significantly enhance particularly in invention patents, where the effect is especially pronounced, results are robust. In the context of digital economy, enterprise digitalization represents a significant opportunity to enhance core competitiveness.
